Soul Contracts? I have soul contracts?
Early in life, I missed important keys about soul contracts, and about my relationships with other people, the master souls or angels that help me and, most of all, about my relationship with myself.
I “clicked” with certain people. It seemed as if we were meant to connect, share and help each other. Now, that’s a soul contract! When that happens, life is an enjoyable journey.
With other individuals, the affinity did not exist, although I enjoy many people. But, sometimes, there’s no need to go further in a relationship because I do not have a soul contract with the individual.
Business Relationships can be Soul Contracts
In my first business venture I “happened” to meet a well-regarded and influential person giving a talk at an entrepreneurs club. We chatted after the meeting and got along well. He liked my products and put me in touch with a major department store buyer. That was a big boost to my business at that time.
So, that is one example of finding and following through with these soul connections in business. It was a big help in creating abundance and enjoying my work.
Friendships: Their Roots grow from Soul Contracts
Strong, seasoned friendships can sure help with the ups and downs of life. Having friends with whom I have a spiritual contract makes a profound difference. We can relax and enjoy ourselves and share freely. Being able to share what we truly feel fuels learning and growing.
Some friends have stayed in touch over the years even though we now live far apart. It’s great to get together or phone to see how we each are doing.
Soulmates: We can have many!
People often ask about finding a soulmate as a partner in life during our programs. Keep in mind that our lifetime can include different types of spiritual partners: people who we grow with spiritually, or others who provide moral support and social interaction and others who are meant to be business collaborators.
Sometimes these soul contracts are for a certain time to learn specific lessons or overcome challenges. These contracts could be short-term. For example, some contracts exist to help us to loosen up and make time for fun.
When I take time to sow a constructive relationship with myself, I harvest better relationships with others. If I do not have a sense of the Real Me and what I am doing on planet earth, I will have a difficult time with relationships.
In upcoming issues of our Inner Living E-News, we will address soul contracts and relationships again in a Part II. You can subscribe to Inner Living e-News at the bottom of these web pages.
Balancing Head and Heart
Taking the time to understand the real me is about coming into balance within myself. This balance could mean not over-thinking and balancing my intellectual and feeling natures. We need to stay connected with our real selves, our good, kind, loving and wise inner being.
When we are connecting with our real selves we are connecting with our clear sensitivity and inner guidance or angels. We have a better sense of our purpose and how to live it.
This clear, inner connection boosts our ability to find the people we have soul contracts with and follow through on what’s best to do in terms of business, social, moral support or spiritual growth.
Clarity Or Confusion In Relationships
Relationships can be enjoyable and fulfilling. They can also be a challenge. If I am unclear about who I am as a spiritual being living in the physical world, I will tend to have a difficult time in the world and with my relationships. I will also attract others with confusion.
Likewise, when I am clearer about myself and my purpose, I will attract people who have a better sense of their true selves and why they are here on Planet Earth.

Reviewing this Big Picture of Life helps to regroup the journey and our direction. To go deeper, you can check out the various pages on the SpiritualGrowthKeys.com website for more keys on these topics or attend one of our webinars or in-person programs.
The key is applying this wisdom and understanding to one’s own life. This way, an individual can live the life he or she came to experience and enjoy.
Soul Contracts And A Bigger Picture
Taking time to understand and fulfill my soul contracts is an important part of this big picture of life.
Planet earth is an amazing school, a great oportunity to learn and grow. The many different states of consciousness and relationships with people are an important part of this process of life on earth.
Look at all you have learned from so many people over the years, from your early years to your friends, teachers, mentors and those you have helped on their journey. When we help others, we can be learning important lessons, too.
Relationship Challenges
Even those we do not have a good relationship with can help us grow. Some of these difficult relationships actually provide the most benefit, especially when we overcome negative emotions and understand the inner relationship and lessons involved.
As part of my life plan and with the backing of my inner guidance or angels, I will attract the people that help me learn my lessons.
Relationships Early in Life: What is really going on?
By my teeange years and into my 20s I wondered about relationships. Was there a reason I connected with certain people, but others I did not?
Sometimes my relationships ended naturally, after brief encounters or other times they were longer term.
Connecting with certain people, such as family and friends, became an important and fulfilling part of life. Other times, my relationships were difficult.
What was behind attracting certain relationships into my life? Why did some relationships work much better than others?
Finding Answers
After finishing college in New York and getting out in the world, I was pretty busy socially, and involved with my work, like many people starting out in life.
I wanted to live in a new environment, so I moved to Hawaii with a few friends. We had a good time! The island of Oahu is a wonderful place. I was busy with my career, my social life, and much of what the islands had to offer.
I had a wonderful relationship with a women, but after a while it did not seem to go anywhere and I was unsure where I needed to be with the relationship and my life.
In my later 20s, I took a break from this busy social life. I decided to leave my first career as an engineer because I felt I needed to make changes and do something completely different.
Later on, I realized that I needed to work on that relationship within myself first and foremost. I needed to clarify my own self and what I was doing here on planet earth.
I wound up moving back to “the mainland”, as they call it in Hawaii, starting a new life in California. But I discovered that we can make major changes on the outside, but we will recreate a similar situation in our new environment until we clarify certain ways of thinking that create these situations.
Fortunately, I also started to explore the inner side of life, and what was going on with me on a deeper level. I read books and attended programs to learn newer, deeper perspectives, finding out more about relationships and philosophies on life.
Sincerity with Self is Key
Overall, I became more sincere with myself about what I wanted. I took time to find answers and seek deeper insights about what was important for me.
When I began sincerely searching, I unearthed new understandings about myself, relationships and the world around me. I learned to relax my busy mind and connect within and with an inner guidance, as I called it then.
As I connected within, I acquired a better feeling of my true self instead of the person I had thought I was for much of my life.
By improving my relationship with myself, my relationships with others had greater meaning.
Another bonus: I landed in the right place at the right time more often. I immersed myself in what I felt I needed to do in business, with people, in social situations and other areas of life.
Better Relationships Through Experience
Needless to say, I learned much about improving my relationships. For instance, in certain situations, I talked less from my head and more from my heart.
I would mentally question myself: “how did I really feel about this matter”, rather than say what I thought about it or repeat what others had said.
I became more aware of what was happening with other people that they were not communicating in words.
You probably learned plenty, too, with the people you have encountered over the years.
Inner Connection
There was still, however, something special that I experienced with certain people. The essence of our bonding had to do with where we were in our lives and what we were looking for on a soul level.
I never realized that I had soul contracts that were such an important part of my life. I have learned that before I came to planet earth, I was part of setting up a plan with a certain purpose to fulfill. This plan included other souls I would be connecting with to help and a team of higher souls or angels to assist the whole process.
Awareness of My Soul Contracts
Our soul contracts are one of the most wondrous, invigorating and sometimes the most intense experiences of our time on earth. They can also be challenging and fulfilling. It’s all part of my learning and growth.
What are your soul contracts? What are these spiritual contracts all about for you? It can help to take a little time and look into your relationships on a deeper level if you have not had a chance to do so already.
Who are the people that you feel you have a soul contract with? Are you taking care of your part of the agreement or have you completed your spiritual contracts with certain individuals?
Soul Contracts
In the next blog post and article in the Inner Living E-News, we will delve into two important areas of our soul contracts: contracts with our guides or angels and the spiritual contract we have with ourselves. What is the arrangement you have during the time on planet earth and beyond? This personal contract we have with ourselves is the most important arrangement and the first one we need to clarify.
If we do not take care of our own soul contract, we will find it difficult to know and satisfy our soul contracts with others.
Clarifying Our Soul Contracts
As you open up your inner connections, you will become more aware of these soul contracts, which are an important force in life and in the lives of the people around you.
You will realize what is best to be doing with family members, friends, co-workers and the people you meet.
